CHRISMONS™ AVAILABLE BOOKS
Chrismons™ ornaments were first made for use on our church Christmas tree in 1957 by a member of our church. Mrs. Frances Kipps Spencer. Mrs. Spencer was the originator of the Chrismons™ ornaments. Their designs are monograms of and symbols for our lord Jesus Christ. Because these Designs have been used by his followers since biblical times, they are the heritage of all Christians and serve to remind each of us regardless of denomination of the one we follow.
All Chrismons are made in combinations of white and gold to symbolize the purity and majesty of the Son of God and the Son of Man. Materials used are white styrofoam, pearls, gold metals, sequins, fringe, braids, beads, wires and any other material you can find that will work. There are many different materials one can use now days. Finished decorations range in height from 2" - 12".
The Basic Series
Presents patterns for monograms and symbols for our Lord and God. The 34 Designs in this group are more than enough to decorate any tree. Because certain information in this series is not repeated in the other books, one must have the Basics to understand everything in the other series.

is for beginners and advanced workers. The section on miniatures is a project that most people can easily handle. A dozen single Chrismon patterns are in this book and a set of eight designs. The Beatitudes. There are also ideas, patterns, and directions for using Chrismons throughout the year, such as bookmarks, wedding cake toppers, pictures, arrangements, mobiles and wreaths. PLEASE READ: The NEW! PAGE 54 crown, small church size and the home size crowns instructions are now incorporated in this book. These directions are for the crown on page 54 of the Explanation book. Many have asked over the years about this crown. We do not know why Mrs. Spencer didn't include this in any of the pattern books. We can only think it may be so different than all the other crowns, it could be confusing. These directions are for a large church size, large home size, or small church size. These patterns are difficult to make 8-12 hours. PLEASE NOTE: The Small church and home sizes of these patterns are now available in the Chrismons For Everday book. The Large Church size is only available in these instructions. The Small Church and Home size will still be available also in these instructions.
